Christ the King Preparatory School - Mission Statement Christ the King Preparatory School in Newark, NJ seeks to provide quality, Catholic, college preparatory education to economically disadvantaged urban young people with limited educational options. Christ the King Preparatory School utilizes a longer school day and year, academic assistance, and counseling to prepare students with a broad range of academic abilities for college. All students at Christ the King participate in a work-study program through which they finance the majority of the cost of their education, gain real world job experience, grow in self-confidence, and realize the relevance of their education. Christ the King Preparatory School is sponsored by the Archdiocese of Newark and endorsed by The Sisters of Charity of St. Elizabeth and The Marist Brothers of the Schools. |
