Christ the King Prep is “The School that Works” for students who seek a Catholic, college-preparatory high school and are motivated to work one day a week in a 'real job' at a business, non-profit organization, or government agency in the Greater Newark area.  The key word is “motivated”.

Our ‘magnet-type’ program is designed for young people with limited economic resources who have the potential to be successful in a college prep environment, and the desire to combine a challenging academic program with a corporate internship experience that will not only help them finance a significant portion of their tuition, but will help them grow in maturity, responsibility, and confidence.

In short, a Christ the King student:

• is motivated and willing to work hard

• has the potential to do college prep work

• is looking for a safe, affordable high school with faith-based values

• is excited about working one day a week in a ‘real job’

• comes from a family with limited financial resources and strong parental support

• will be 14 years old by September 1,  2010
